From day 1 we could see, that the Brazilian crowd is probably one of the most loud and most mood making crowds ever at a major. But this also comes with downsides. It has been well known that the Brazilian fans have only been cheering for their home soil teams. This lead to situations where they would become louder if somebody was aiming at a wall where an enemy was. There were many speculations of how much of an impact this actually has, and the final conclusion was that it's cheating. Now, Valve has stepped up and took actions. The entirety of the crowd has been VAC Banned. After beeing asked interview Gabe Newell said :
"It's about time we show 'em!".
Indubitably this came with an outrageous backlash, and the Brazilian police is now issueing kevlar vests and batons for all players for self defence. It is yet unknown what the future will bring for this major. All we can do now is wait and see.
